I know what it’s like to have a DNA surprise turn your world upside down - because it happened to me.
In 2020, I discovered that the man I believed was my father was, in fact, not my biological father. A throwaway comment - something seemingly insignificant - changed my life forever.
When I discovered the truth, I didn't know what to do with it. I couldn’t find any help or support online. There were no resources to help me navigate this. And I felt completely alone.
Luckily, as a clinical psychotherapist and high performance coach, I had the tools to work through the shock, grief, and identity shift on my own - but most people don’t.
So, I created UnexpectedDNA to provide the structured support I wish I’d had.
